trying "art" again. photography is not my strong point. at least without the use of photoshop.

drawing is a no. i don't think i'll do that again, and if i do it'll be realistic. ish.

but i'm sick of seeing all the same, crappy things in my gallery, i'll at least get new stuff up, okay?

okay.

Twilight Haters and Twilight Fans make me cringe and the Twlight Floaters, the ones who are in-between liking and hating? Just get shunned by both breeds.

Ignore the stamp. Or full support. I don't even like how the person who posted it is going on about how stupid the book was when she didn't even finish it.

But read the two links.

Life in Technicolor
haha I like the content on the dvd more
than the actual disc.....but now that
you say it, I guess I am a fan of the
disc as well....
...oh and yeah....cassette tapes are awesome too.
....so are VHS tapes. I have a few unusable
VHS tapes that were chewed up by a bad VCR
saved for a rainy day..

ah....I also see that you've discovered
the secrets to the Japanese...
...now how can we exploit their tiny foldable bodies?...hmm

but yeah, back to the dvd thing....I am
a dvd fanatic. So says my 700 plus dvd collection.
I don't watch them though. I just like to
stack them and smell them...haha

gee whiz, seven hundred? i would hope there's some david lynch in there, maybe some charlie chaplin. and the marx brothers! are there foreign films? like Little Otik?

buh, i hardly ever watch movies. shame sometimes, especially when people quote movies that are very popular and i have no idea what they're talking about.

ah, sorry! i'm being nosy...um. dvds have a cool shape. and if you put discs in the microwave, they get interesting holes.
just. just sayin. bahumbug. callypigian.
yep over 700 dvds...
....or I should say "over 700 titles".
If you were to count every disc it would
be over 1100 discs...haha

Yeah I've got some David Lynch...
...I don't have any Chaplin or Marx
Brothers though. Although I was very
close to buying some Chaplin dvds a few
years ago. I had them in my hands, but
ended up buying some obscure Superman
cartoons from the 40's/50's instead...haha

I don't have Little Otik....Svankmajer dvds
are too expensive for my budget...haha
I've only got his Alice movie on dvd...

I do have a lot of foreign dvds. Half of
my collection is foreign movies...the
majority is comprised of Asian movies though.

So why do you hardly watch movies?
That's all I ever do when Im not sculpting.
...watch movies or read the science section
of the newspaper...haha

well, watching movies is an expensive hobby, like most, but i find it..hm..difficult? it's too much pressure for me to pick up a dvd and decide if i should buy it or not. for one, i'd never seen it before, so what if the description was great, but the movie was horrible? do i buy it based off the actors, or off the director? should i go for director's cut, the price, what language it's in, or just the way the cover looks?

after a while i get too nervous and just walk away from them. i also dislike the seeing faces on the cover. pictures can be manipulating.

the only asian foreign films i've seen were...pretty bad. not gonna lie. i dont know if i have a language issue, or androgynous issues, but i cant sit through them.

how can you watch them all the time? do you have to limit how many you watch a day, or do you do marathons? do you even go out to theatres?
Watching movies could be an expensive hobby
if you're like me and choose to buy every dvd
you see...haha, but I thought this generation
was quite fond of piracy? You could always go
in that direction.....everything is just one
click away.
but I guess that doesn't solve your indecisiveness...haha

If you need a recommendation I can lend you a
hand.
Im actually very interested in knowing what Asian
movies you've watched as well. I've seen a lot
of bad ones too, but when they are good they blow
away anything in Hollywood..

I usually like watching movies while Im sculpting.
If it's a movie I've never seen then I'll save it
for when I have some free time so I can give it my
full attention, that's usually at night.
At my peak movie watching years though I averaged
about 3-4 movies a day. Life literally evolved around
movies those years.....they were college years too...haha

I don't go to the theatre that often. Last movie
I saw was Benjamin Button, and a great Swedish
horror film called "Let the Right One In"..

oh and I don't do marathons...
I learned my lesson when I did a Studio Ghibli
marathon on a weekend, and spent the following
week dreaming in Japanese...
...and I don't speak Japanese...haha
